JuilliART brings visual perspectives into common spaces, providing a rotating series of art works to advance the creative spirit at Juilliard. The initiative supports Juilliard’s mission to provide the whole community with an environment of continual thinking, 调查, 和灵感. Exhibits can be found around the school, including in the Larkin lobby, President’s Board Room, second-floor outer lobby, and Peter Jay Sharp Theater lobby.
Ellen Reid SOUNDWALK 林肯中心 and Central Park
Created by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and sound artist Ellen Reid, 这个免费的, GPS-enabled work of public art uses music to illuminate the natural environment. Juilliard has commissioned a new SOUNDWALK in 林肯中心 that connects with Reid’s existing work in Central Park via Broadway.
Julie Mehretu’s Myriads, 只有在黑暗中
Featured in the June Noble Larkin Lobby from 2019-2021, New York-based artist Julie Mehretu’s Myriads, 只有在黑暗中 is a print series and self-ethnographic project that explores identity, lineage, and unfolding time.

Juilliard’s installation features producer Nicholas Ma’s film 套件没有. 1,前奏—a loving portrait of his father, Yo-Yo Ma as he recorded Bach’s 大提琴 Suites for the final time—and select audio recordings of the suites.
Keith Haring’s Boxers and Stones
The inaugural JuilliART exhibit featured a display of American artist Keith Haring’s lithographs and steel sculpture, made possible by the Keith Haring Foundation. The spirit of the exhibit followed Haring’s statement that “art is for everyone.”
Mohamad Hafez and Ahmed Badr’s 打开: Refugee Baggage
In spring 2019, Juilliard hosted 打开, a multimedia installation by artist and architect Mohamad Hafez and writer and speaker Ahmed Badr that sought to humanize the word 难民.
Private Collections
慈善家, 收集器, and cultural icon Agnes Gund has generously loaned Juilliard works from her personal collection for multiple installations, one of which explores women in art.
